Royal Flusher REVEALED (and my Spring 2015 trip report)

April 22 to May 7th, 2015

Yes, you read that right!
This report contains a picture of the man himself,
but you must read on (and on and on) to find it!

This trip report also includes stays at the Plaza, the Four Queens, the D and Harrah's.

Retirement is a two edged sword. I now have all the time in the world, but very little money.
Since I am still able to get free nights at many Vegas

hotels, I decided to challenge myself by staying a full two weeks with my normal

one week bankroll.

Could I do it?

Would I resort to buying crackers at Walgreen's and eating them in my room for meals?

Would my second week consist of watching TV in the hotel room for entertainment?

Would I wind up on Fremont Street in pasties and a thong to earn extra cash?

( God help us all...) Image

Follow along and see how it all turned out.

Day One - Wednesday April 22

I guess I get to the airport a smidge too early...Image

Image

I had a perfectly smooth , on time flight with Spirit. Apparently a

lady on board decided to start her celebrating in Detroit and indulged in a few more drinks on the plane.
She was giving the attendants a hard time when they cut her off.  I was

sitting near the front so I could hear the discussion about what to do with the

drunk lady in the back.  She wound up getting a police escort off the plane and

likely to jail.

Not a very good start to her trip  I'd say.

I did my usual Showtime
Shuttle to the Plaza. ($9.50)

I was happy to see my friend Kodidog waiting for

me in the lobby. (Not her real name)

We were able to check in immediately to a

large, well equipped room.  The Plaza's room was my favourite of the trip.

The beds are so comfortable.

Some Plaza pics...

We were happy to be able to settle in right away as we wanted to freshen up
before the Las Vegas for Beginners meet at Pizza Rock at 4:30.   As always we
were early so we stopped to investigate the Jerky Store on the way there.

I have never been a fan of jerky but if this store was in my neighbourhood

I would buying it everyday. It was not cheap ($7 for a small bag) but it made for a nice in-room snack.

I was happy and excited to finally meet Ashley and Darryl Piner, and several others who I have talked to online for years but never met in real life.

The biggest thrill for me was meeting Scott Roeben of Vital Vegas and the Fremont Street Experience website fame.  I have admired his work for years. I proceeded to corner him and yap his ear off.

 So much fun!
I was under the impression that we were going to do a goofy picture, and a a serious one. Apparently I was wrong.

Oh, and what they say about those Pizza Rock meatballs is true. Soooo good!

When the meet was over I found that all my big plans of what I was going to do on my first night had evaporated and all I wanted to do was head back to the Plaza to play a while before bed.

Day Two - Thursday April 23

One of the many awesome aspects of the Plaza is the wifi that comes with

your comped room. Since we were at the Plaza for five days and didn't have to

worry about where to catch free wifi, Kodi and I spent our mornings drinking

coffee and playing keno.  Kodi gave me a tutorial and I sorta kinda like it now.

Especially at the Plaza bars where it was hitting for us.

We decided our first breakfast would be using a 2-4-1 at the Golden Nugget.

We got our usual window table and enjoyed the view and a lovely meal.

Image

The D had sent me some April freeplay so we stopped by to play there.  As so often happens, the Buffalo machine that adored me and gave me scads of money last trip, gave me nothing this trip. Image

We went back to the Plaza to rest and get ready for our own meet.
LasVegas4ever.com was having a  meet at the Parlour Bar at El Cortez at 4 pm.
When sufficiently primped, we headed down to the cab stand to save ourselves
 some time and ouchy steps.

We approached the first cab in line and I explained where we wanted to go.

He replied " It is close...you can walk."

Image

I responded

" Um...it is not close if you have a crippled foot."

He said nothing.

I said " So you won't take us?"

He replied " Ask the other guys"

So we approached the two other drivers that were there.
One just stared at his cell phone and the other very, very reluctantly agreed to drive us.

It is experiences like this that give cab drivers a bad name.

Apparently there is a law that they are not allowed to refuse to take you unless there is a good reason.

I suppose I could have stood there and fought with him, but what kind of ride are you going to have after that? Image

Anyhow, we arrived at El Cortez and went to check out the Parlour Bar and stake out some chairs.

I guess someone must have reported a motley collection of people congregating because at one point both owners showed up to say hello and find out who we were...lol.

We had a group of long time regular members and some new ones too.

Always happy to see everybody and I wish I had more time to talk to people individually.

Very pleased and honoured that people fought their way downtown to say hello!
I am hoping to be able to see everyone at Halloween again if funds allow.

The meet....Pluto and Jim arrived after this group shot

When the meet broke up Kodi , Big E and I took a walk around the Container Park.
I am no more thrilled with it than I was the first time.  It just doesn't appeal to me.

But I do want to see the fire come out of the praying mantis mouth one day!
I always seem to miss it.
Image

Kodi and I went back into the El Cortez to have our first Cafe Cortez eating experience.

(another LVA coupon) The cafe has a pleasant homey feel and we had a nice meal
there. Afterwards we wandered back down to the Plaza.

Walking back down to the Plaza

In the beginning I approached having reduced circumstances with depression.
My inner child didn't WANT to play nickel VP, it wanted to play quarters!
But I got over my initial pout and discovered I could still enjoy myself with a small bankroll.
Normally I would have thought it impossible for me to get excited about a $100 bonus. But if your daily bankroll for gambling is only slightly above that, suddenly a hundred bucks is pretty darn exciting!

There was also a time or two where I would get a good hand or a bonus and up my bets hoping for a bigger win. On one Buffalo Deluxe I managed to parlay it right up to $200! And then I unparlayed it right back into the ground. Image

Day Three- Friday April 24

Kodi and I decided we couldn't wait for Tuesday's senior discount day at ROSS, we needed to go now!!!
There were no issues getting a cab to take us there. It was later in the day than we usually go so the place was packed.
We muscled through and shared many happy hours trying on our bargains.

We left with arms laden and walked next door to Peppermill for some refreshment.  We split a gyro and then asked them to call us a cab to return to the Plaza. (Something we have done several times with out incident.)
This time there was already a group of ladies outside waiting for a cab.
 We waited.
 And waited.
I went back in the Peppermill to ask them to call again and the girl at the counter said
"Just walk over to the RIV, they have cabs there."

Again, this was not helpful with my bad foot and in the other group there was a woman in a wheelchair.
Finally a woman from the other group walked over to the RIV and had them send some cabs for us.
It was a long 45 minutes wait.
It just seems unnecessary in a city full of cabs.

We decided a trip to the Plaza pool would relax us. It was a sunny day but crazy windy. We literally had to tie the towels to the chairs.  I braved the cold water but came out in a hurry.  The area could be really attractive but it needs some work. (This was prior to the renovation)

We ate dinner at Hash House a Go Go at the Plaza because I had a coupon for a free entree.
I had the Sage Chicken  salad that I have had many times before. It was yummy as always.
We spent the evening gambling at the Plaza.Image

Day Four - Saturday April 25

The day began with coffee and Keno at the bar again. Kodi let me use her lucky machine because it was my birthday and I wound up taking $40 away from it.

We went over to Main Street Station at noon to have a 2-4-1 brunch buffet....a bruffet!
(11.99 paid with points)
Afterwards we went over to the Cal to play nickel VP in one of their famous "alcoves".
Not really a fan of those...very scrunchy.

We had no luck there so we went over to Binion's to play because I had $30 freeplay to use.
We ended up winning a a free meal at their cafe on their spin promotion so we ate dinner there and paid the remainder with points.

Have to get one of these every trip!

Image

We came back to the Plaza and had fun playing Wonder Woman all night and grooving to Wonder Boogie.

Birthday wishes from Scott Roeben...LOL
Image

At 3:15 am we were awoken by fire alarm announcements.  There were two
"We are investigating..." announcements...
and a little later two "all clear " announcements.

The really annoying thing was that about an hour after the last ALL CLEAR speech, they announced it yet again and woke us up just as we were all getting back to sleep!Image

I have read other trip reports where this was an issue at the Plaza
so I did my best to ignore it and bury my head in my pillow.

Day Five Sunday April 26

One of the best things about a trip this long is that you don't feel the need to rush anywhere, We made sure not to schedule anything in the mornings.  All we wanted was a laid back, mellow trip, and that is what we got.

On Sunday morning we grabbed some subs from Subway for our breakfast. ( 2-4-1 from the Plaza)  We decided that we were going to take the free shuttle from the Cal to Sam's Town as I had never been there before.

I rubbed this guy while I waited for the bus....
Image

I was very impressed with the beauty of Sam's Town and will definitely be visiting again.  We played nickel VP for a while and then used a 2-4-1 coupon for the buffet. I was happy when they sat us right next to the park.  We could see much of the Mystic Falls presentation without leaving our seats. We enjoyed everything we ate at their buffet and had no issues catching the bus back to the Cal.
Now that I know how easy it is I will be doing this every trip!

Some pretty glass thing in the buffet. It sparkled..so I had to grab a picture.

We played at the Plaza all night and I actually went to bed with $80 left of my stake.
 Amazing!Image

Probably because of this hit!
Image

Day Six - Monday April 27

On Monday morning I grabbed some coffee and breakfast sandwiches from the Subway and took them up to the room to eat as we got ready for our day.
Today we had to pack up and move over to the Four Queens.  It wasn't fun dragging our luggage there but at least it is only a few blocks.  Happily we were allowed to check in right away and I got my preferred North Tower room facing the Nugget.  (No concerts on that stage out behind thank goodness)

It is almost impossible to take pictures down town anymore without semi-naked people in them.
I finally got one! (I think)

Image

Image

Image

This was interesting. Some people on the top zip line got stuck and a worker dude had to come out and rescue them.  They dangled over Fremont for a while. Yet another reason not to ride this thing...Image

Image

Kiddo, a board friend, was in town and she came to see us and brought us lovely scarves as gifts.
We decided to sit at the bar at the Four Queen's and I got to meet and chat with Flusher's bartender friend, one of the Mikes.  We enjoyed a few of his cocktails and then Kiddo treated us to a great meal at 777 over at Main Street.  I had the Chicken Quesadillas like I always do.

After we went back to the Four Queens and I played some Wonder Woman. She chose to give me $95 so I took that and managed to get on my favorite seat at the bar and play QUARTER VP for awhile.

Day Seven - Tuesday April 28

We did our coffee and keno routine in a quiet corner of the Fremont today.
Won nothing.

Breakfast was at Binion's where we paid with comps.
I asked for biscuits, gravy and a side of bacon.
I was expecting one or possibly two.
But four???
They went to waste.
Image

I got on a Willy Wonka machine that kept me alive all morning on $20.
Suddenly my  crappy $15 phone buzzed.
Guess who is coming to see me?
Mr Royal Flusher appeared and did an unsuccessful run at Wizard of Oz while Kodi and I Wonka-ed.
We visited for a while and then he went back to his job as VP king.Image

Kodi went to nap and I discovered that Mr Wonka had turned on me.
 Fickle. Image
Then I went back to 4 Qs and rested for awhile too.

We decided to have dinner at Magnolia's and asked Mr F if he would like to join us.

And HERE,
is the one and only picture of Flushiepants in existence!!!!!!
GASP!!! Image
HE REALLY DOES EXIST!!!

Image

Mr Flusher was kind enough to treat us to dinner, then we all bellied up to the 4Q's bar in my favorite location, practically on the street.
He stayed and played with us for a drink or two, then took his leave.
As soon as he walked away we started winning!!!Image

I went to the little girl's room and when I got back Kodi had a quad on the machine Flusher had been playing. A few seconds later I got the deuces on my favorite machine.  IN QUARTERS! Of course I had to text him the good news.

"I hate you" he said.

Image

Such a fun night!

Day Eight - Wednesday April 29

Breakfast this morning was at Magnolia's and we paid with points.  I had a bacon and crab omelette.
It sounds weird but it is really delicious!

We were enamoured of this TREE game at the 4Q's. See the green machines and the man with his hand on the screen?
When you get the bonus you have to physically shake the tree and make the oranges fall.  When you are only semi-concious in the AM it is a good game to get your blood flowing.

Image

Kodi and I packed up again for a move across the street to the D.  This was my first time staying here since it was the Fitz.

Image

Once again we were fortunate to get a nice quiet room right away.  I like the D rooms.  I would stay there again.

Some shots of the room

Image

Image

Image

Our view. It was cool watching this at night.

Image
I was under the false impression that I might get free wifi since my room and resort fees were comped but no such luck.
I just walked across the street to the outside bar at the 4Qs and used the FSE free wifi.  Not as comfy as your own room but it will do. And they didn't even force me to buy a beverage!

Catching the wifi...
Image

We tried our luck playing various machines.  You can't hope for big wins when you are betting the minimum, but we were able to have fun and stay alive for awhile.  The D had sent me two $50 food comps, one for April and one for May.  Dinner was at the D Grill using the April comp.

I had chicken penne.
Image

Kodi had prime rib.

Image

And we both had cheesecake.

Image

Some fun on the second floor of of the D. Vintage Vegas.

I liked these old keno machines, but they would only take OLD money...hilarious!
Image

I also wanted to visit this old Loose Deuces nickel machine that I have been hearing about for years.  I went an asked an ancient employee where it was.  He said "We only have one deuces machine and that is not it." and pointed.
I walked over and it said LOOSE DEUCES.   Hmmmm.

Anyhow, I sat down to play it and regretted it immediately.  There were guys screaming at some game on my right and thundering hoofbeats on my left and smoke everywhere.  I wanted to cash out but it is a coindropper and I didn't want to deal with all the nickels.

So I decided to just stay and play out the twenty.

How long could it take anyhow?

As it turns out a VERY long time.

When I was down to my last fifty coins and I thought I was going to be released from this torture,
 I won the darn thing!

Normally this would be a cause for celebration, but my first thought was...
"OMG!  Is this thing going to spit out 2500 nickels at me???!" Image

Thank God it was a hand pay.
All $125 of it! Image

Image

Day Nine - Thursday April 30
Trying to get a decent picture of us in the room....
Image

We started the day with coffee and free wifi down at Starbucks.

Image

After we had caught up with the online world we had breakfast at Binion's.
Coupons and comps again.

Walked back to the D to play.
I tried OMG Puppies and it was good to me for awhile.
But it is bad machine for me to play.
I just get mesmerized by all the adorable puppies faces and keep spinning and spinning.

At 4 pm we decided to check out the pool. It was actually a perfect time because there was only a half hour of sun left so there was no chance for us pale northerners to burn. Also everyone else bolted and we had the place to ourselves.
I really loved the hot tub.
It was very deep and very hot.
Image

We cleaned up and went to Benny's BBQ for dinner.
We both had the chicken and ribs but next time I will just get the ribs.
Delicious as always.

Image

It seems that going to dinner at 6 pm is a great time, the crowds don't show up till 7pm.

We played the night away at Binion's and the D.

Day Ten - Friday May 1

In the morning Kodi and I went over to the outside bar at the 4 Q's again to use the wifi, then we had a 2-4-1 buffet at the Fremont.
We rested until 2:30 when we had tickets for Adam London's Laughternoon.  As it turns out the show was moved until 4, so as a courtesy to us the D comped us tickets to Marriage can be Murder that night.  We had seen it before but it was fun and a free meal ...yay!

Kodi and I at the D
Image

We went to the 4 pm show of Laughternoon and that turned out to be a hoot.  The comic/magician whipped a rubber duck at me and I actually caught it.
Amazing....truly.
Later on in the show I got called up onto the stage to help him with a trick.  If it had been a large crowd I would have been nervous, but this was a small crowd so it was fun.

Mr London and I....

Image

We basically went right from one show to the other.
It was an economical day. You save a lot of money when you spend all day in a showroom!

I got my May freeplay from the D and played on it until bedtime.
I like this new machine...Starry Night.
I went to bed with the same amount of money I started the day with.
Yippee!!!Image

Image

Day Eleven - Saturday May 2

This morning we had breakfast at the D Grill again. (Food comps)

I had spotted this Wheel Poker thing at Binion's and I was dying to try it before we left downtown.
So we went back down there to try it out.

Image

OMG I love this thing. I could play it forever.
It was kind to Kodi, giving her a Royal Flush and the Deuces.

It wasn't as good to me so I moved over to a regular nickel machine and hit this.
I got my money back!

Image

Royal Flusher came to join us for dinner at the Grill and we got caught up on all the gambling news.

Kodi and I had tickets for Frankie Scinta that night. His run at the D ends May 20 and then he is moving to another property but he didn't say where. I really enjoyed the show but I think the volume is too loud for such a small showroom.

When the show let out I played Buffalo and for the second night I went to bed with my bankroll intact.
Yay me!

Day Twelve - Sunday May 3
(I am starting the THIRD day now with the same money!)

Kodi and I had breakfast at Magnolia's with Flusher this morning. I think he scared the waitress....lol.

I had that same Bacon Crab Omelette again.

I discovered I had $50 in Four Queens freeplay that I didn't realize I had.
Flusher suggested I try dollar JOB so I did and walked away with $70!

Happy happy happy!

Flusher was kind enough to offer Kodi and I a ride to the Strip as we were all changing hotels today.
We went back to the D to gather our stuff and here is where we had a problem.

The elevators at the D.
My observation after staying there 4 days is that the majority of the time they work fine, but at busy times?
Forget about it!
Sometimes there would be 10 people assigned to an elevator however, it doesn't account for luggage and coolers and stuff!
It would be virtually impossible to put all those people on with their baggage.
Any system where you have to hire someone to explain the elevators and moderate the fights is a bad system.

That brings us to us attempting to leave the hotel.
We press floor one and were assigned an elevator.
We waited and waited and waited some more.
We could hear our elevator swishing right by us.
The day before a D employee had come to rescue us and put us in a service elevator.
I was starting to think there was something wrong about this floor.

After 20 minutes we were starting to panic.
Flusher was probably downstairs with the car waiting on us,
and we can't get out of here!!!!!

Kodi found a house phone and called for help.
A minute or so later it FINALLY came.

And he was waiting!
So we gratefully piled into the Flushermobile and took off.
He took us on a little drive around an area of town we had never seen,
then he "skillfully" made his way to the Harrah's drop off.
Is the back of those hotels a maze or what?

Thanks again Flusher, for saving us money and yet another cabbie encounter.Image

Once again we were able to check in immediately.

Boy...I am going to miss that Diamond check in when I lose it.
I asked to be in the same general area I was the last time, because last time I was picking up free WIFI in my room.
Of course, THIS time I wasn't.
I asked about the situation and no one can seem to adequately explain it.
Weird.

Our room
Image

Image

Image

Our view

Image

Luckily both Starbuck's have WIFI so you don't have to travel to find it.

There are things I like about Harrah's but their motion detector AC is NOT one of them. I had maintenance come override it and it stayed on for two nights. But on Tuesday when we returned to the room it was back to going off all the time.

I tried hanging my bra there but it was too heavy to flap in the wind.Image

Kodi devised this ingenious "shredded bag" technique and it worked!
Remember this if you ever stay there.

Image

We played in the afternoon with terrible results.  Downtown we could usually find a machine to give you some play time and occasionally a bonus or three, but the machines at Harrah's were just hoovers for us.

I had a $100 Diamond dinner to use, but I didn't want to go over that amount, so we studied the menu at the Oyster Bar at Harrah's and decided to go there.
The first issue with this place is that it is open to the casino floor, so it is not a quiet relaxing atmosphere.
Ok...no problem.

The second issue was our waiter.
He was civil. He did what he had to do.
But he has the worst customer service skills I have ever seen.
No smile, no "How are you this evening?"
Nothing...no warmth.
Not even fake warmth. I would have been happy with that.

So we both ordered a steak and it was good.  We enjoyed it.

Image
As time went on the restaurant was getting more and more busy.
We ordered dessert and the bill was too low so we ordered two cheesecakes to go for breakfast and the bill still only came to $76.
In hindsight we should have ordered more.

Image

They seated a table of people next to us who were also less than thrilled with the waiters attitude.
Then some friends of theirs came along and wanted to sit with them but there was no room.
As a courtesy to them we  stood and gave them our table as we waited for our bill.

After a long time the waiter came back and I said "Do I need to sign something?"
I thought he indicated yes so we stayed ....and waited and waited.

Eventually we were so pissed off that we took our tip back off the table.
Neither of us have ever done anything like that before in our lives.

Finally he came back and said.
"Well I can't give you any change" in a snotty tone.
(Which of course I knew...I just thought I had to sign something, which I didn't apparently)

So THAT was a bad experience.
I recommend sitting at the bar if you ever go there.
Maybe Richard was just having a bad day???
I don't know...but wow.
Just wow.

I went to bed early after that.

Day Thirteen - Monday May 4

Started with our usual Starbuck's visit to connect to the outside world
We meandered over to Mirage at lunch for a MyVegas free buffet.
Zinfandel and Diet Cherry Pibb!!! Love that stuff.
Image

My meal

Image

Image

The trip must be getting to us because I slept ALL afternoon and Kodi slept half of it.
We pried our eyes open and caught the free shuttle over to the Rio around 6 pm.

My brain was so fried that I momentarily forgot that I had Diamond Lounge privileges.Image
Good thing Kodi remembered...lol.
I had never been to the Rio one before.
It is very pretty and we had a snack and a Miami Vice.

Image

They even made us Pina Coladas to go.

We played a bit before Penn and Teller. I went to have a look at the Masquerade casino where they used to have the Show in the Sky. I still miss it, but they had flair bartenders doing some tricks and giving out free shots, so that was amusing.

We had great seats.(Diamond tix) I wasn't sure what to expect as I am not a huge fan of magic, but they are different.
I like them.
Shuttled back to Harrah's.
We played briefly at the Linq to see if it was any better than Harrah's.
 It wasn't.

Day Fourteen - Tuesday May 5

I have been trying for a bazillion years to get around to seeing Big Elvis
and I was determined to do it this trip.
I went to shower to get ready for the day...and......no water.

Darn....I may miss it AGAIN!Image

Happily it was fixed shortly after so we got cleaned up and staked out the front of the Piano Bar. We had a nice chat with his sound guy and he told us the best place to sit.

I was so happy to finally get a chance to meet a board member named PartyofOne who came to enjoy Elvis with us.
The only problem is that it is hard to talk in a show like that.
Big Elvis was very good as reported.
The show is only about thirty minutes long so definitely stop by and give him a listen.

Image

Image
Since we hadn't had much time to converse during the show I was happy that Partyof One walked with us down to the Bazaar Shops at Bally's.

Kodi and I didn't want to leave town without having a look at them.  It seems that most of the shops are not open yet, however...the first thing I laid eyes on was a shop full of glitter and a giant 50% off sign.  Obviously I was drawn to that like a magnet.
It was called TAGS Evolution.Image
I could have spent a million dollars there! (If I had it to spend)
But I did purchase two glittery necklaces.

OMG....my idea of heaven on earth!!!
Everything in the store sparkles!!!

Image

Image

Image

Image
Further down an aisle we came across another interesting shop filled with crafts and bowls and lovely chandeliers.

Image

Image

Image

I think this will be a good place to escape the casino if they get all the booths filled.
And of course I LOVE that crystal ball thingie!!!

Image

Image

Image

PartyofOne took his leave of us and we went into Bally's rest a bit and have a drink.
After regaining our strength we walked back to HHAGG at the Linq where I had another coupon to use.
Love that Sage Chicken Salad!

I may have gambled a bit...but whatever I did....it wasn't memorable.

Day Fifteen - Wednesday May 6

Our last full day in town!
Can you believe it?
Did you think it was never going to end???
Did you think you were trapped forever in the swirling vortex of my life??? Image

We discovered we both love those yogurt parfaits from Fulton Street so we just had one of those in the room for breakfast.

Kodi took the monorail back to the Bazaar shops because she wanted a certain necklace.
She also walked to Bellagio conservatory.

I went over to Casino Royale because I had given them a good night of play last trip and I wondered what I had earned from it, if anything.  Turns out I have $35 of food to use. (Next time)

We both had MyVegas tickets for the Tournament of Kings. We cabbed there and back.

We had about two hours to kill so I had some fun with this machine.

Image

I wasn't that thrilled with the show.  I tend to being unhappy with anything that uses animals any more.
I didn't enjoy the fake fighting, although the guys were cute.
I really prefer to eat with utensils.
Having slimy chicken fat all over me just isn't something I enjoy.Image
It is not something I would do again.
Glad it was free.

The arena
Image

We went home to Harrah's and I went straight to bed.
I fell asleep watching the colours change on the High Roller.....
I love doing that....
Image
Image

Going Home Thursday May 7

I got up before my wakeup call and was pretty much ready to go by the time Elvis called.Image

I took the airport shuttle which I think is a real bargain at $7.00
The first van I approached was almost full and I would have have to crawl in the back, so the nice man with the walkie talkie (do they still call them THAT?)  called another one to come and I got to sit up front.

The driver said they regularly go to Harrah's, the Linq and Flamingo and but you can also get the same service by calling if you are at Bally's or Paris. I never knew that.
I didn't notice the name on the side of the van though, but I am sure the concierge at Harrah's would give it to you.

I made it all the way through this long trip without having to use my cane once.
I attribute that to spending most of it downtown where everything is so close together.

I did, however, ask for a wheelchair to my gate for the very first time.
As usual it was the second to last gate on that concourse so I was happy I did.
I felt kinda silly...but preventing pain is worth it.

Well, if you made it ALL the WAY through this you deserve some kind of medal!Image

Many thanks to everyone who came to the meets, or stopped to talk to me, or contributed to making this trip another wonderful one.

Many thanks to Royal  Flusher who made this trip special and different.
